REPORTS TO: DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR
WAGE SCALE: HOURLY /NON-EXEMPT
SUMMARY: Performs duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor involving packing merchandise into the correct carton.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Scan case labels and identify where to put merchandise (and how many) using lights
• Appropriately turn off lights and make adjustments for quantity differences
• When carton is full, push off, get new carton and attach shipping label onto the new carton (must scan close of box and open of new box into system correctly)
• Must be quick, accurate and pay attention to details
• Must be able to do the processes involved with splitting new cases correctly

Order Selectors
Order selectors fill customer orders and ensure they are correct before being sent out. Warehouses hire order selectors for part- and full-time shifts that include weekends and evenings, with some overtime and holiday hours required. Order selectors perform physically demanding tasks inside warehouse environments that are not temperature-controlled, working within a collaborative environment where they primarily report to the warehouse supervisor. Some order selectors are required to travel to other warehouse locations owned by the company but typically work inside one warehouse to perform all their job duties.
Order Selector Duties and Responsibilities
The daily job tasks performed by order selectors vary based on the types of items being stocked in the warehouse and the number of orders that need to be filled. Despite these variables, however, the core work duties performed by order selectors are universally the same in all warehouse environments.
Read Work Orders
Order selectors read work orders detailing shipments requested by various customers.
Select Ordered Items
Order selectors locate and select specific items within the warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
Prepare Orders
Order selectors operate forklifts and machinery to stack items on pallets and prepare orders for shipping. Order selectors also place prepared orders in the correct dock slips to be loaded on shipping trucks.
Inspect Items
Order selectors perform visual inspections of items to ensure orders are correct, undamaged, and ready for shipment.
Follow Safety Procedures
Order selectors follow all safety procedures regarding personal safety and safety of other workers, including safe operation of equipment, wearing proper clothing, and following safe food handling procedures where applicable. Order selectors also maintain good awareness at all times in order to safely transport items within a busy warehouse environment, with many other workers moving around at the same time.
Apply Labels
Order selectors correctly label order shipments, so they are instantly and easily identifiable.
Shrink Wrap Orders
Order selectors apply to shrink wrap to orders once they are complete and ready for shipment.
Maintain Warehouse
Order selectors keep warehouse areas clean and organized at all times.

SUMMARY: Performs duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor, Manager or Processor – II involving the control, distribution and movement of retail merchandise through the Distribution Center and to the stores by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Accurately counts and opens cartons and unpacks merchandise
• Sorts merchandise into appropriate shipping bundles as directed by allocation
• Counts merchandise by SKU/UPC
• Attaches price tickets to merchandise according to company ticketing standards
• Returns merchandise to correct boxes and pushes boxes off of line when ready
• Accurately fills out sheet recording orders processed
Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

SUMMARY: Performs duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor involving the lifting and movement of cartons and/or pallets of merchandise, store supplies, Support Center supplies, fixtures and equipment by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
can include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Unloads inbound trucks, sorting cartons by purchase order (P.O.) number
• Load cartons on receiving line sorting them by color and/or style as required
• Pushes freight from one department to another on the conveyor
• Seals filled cartons on the pack line
• Places cartons of back stock away and records the locations
• Takes sealed cartons from packing off the conveyor and stages by destination store on the shipping floor
• Loads outbound trailers and uses UPS/FedEx shipping systems
• Bales used corrugated boxes
• Delivers office supplies (copier and computer paper) to mailroom and computer room as required
• Removes recycled computer paper from office and stages in receiving
• Fills orders for merchandise bags, hangers and display fixtures
• Operate equipment in area (may require license)
